Airstream

Founded in 1931, Airstream produces Class B luxury motorhomes. This expensive aluminum or chrome-colored campers provide many choices in designs including the Classic, Flying Cloud, Globetrotter, and Tony Bahama.

Each Airstream travel trailer design offers multiple floor plans, leather seats, high-end kitchen appliances, and fixtures. For example, the Flying Cloud base model costs $67,400. It sleeps four to eight people and offers 19-floor plans.

Grand Design RV

Established in 2011, Grand Design RV manufactures travel trailers, fifth wheels, and toy haulers. The brand focuses on high-quality parts and its manufacturing process, plus customer service. The company provides a three-year structural warranty on all of its towable trailers and fifth-wheels.

Grand Design offers 11-floor plans each with a queen-sized bed. The one-piece roof receives its own 12-year warranty. It uses top-quality, full-size appliances and panoramic windows.

Oliver Travel Trailers

Founded in 2007, Oliver Travel Trailers crafts high-quality camper trailer RVs using a unique process that includes four fiberglass shells, two inner and two outers, over an aircraft-grade aluminum frame. The wheels on the trailers also differ from those used on a typical RV trailer because Oliver uses light truck tires that are E-rated and 10-ply. This design works especially well if you travel to locations with extremely cold temperatures.

The insulated four-shell design keeps the water lines from the freezer. Their lightweight designs let you tow them with a truck or full-size SUV. Choose from two-floor plans, one which includes twin beds for the kids and a 22″ flat screen LCD TV with four mounted speakers.

Winnebago Industries

Probably every person has seen a Winnebago on the road. In business since 1958, this Iowa firm produces motor homes of every size, including Class A RV, Class B RV, and Class C RV camping trailers, fifth wheels, and toy haulers. They use Azdel composite panels in their manufacturing process for a hearty product. The company’s popular models include the Minnie Drop, Micro Minnie, and Minnie Plus.

Winnebago uses Azdel composite panels in their manufacturing for a hearty RV. They offer some models with a slideout to provide added space plus your choice of a wet or dry bath. Many of the designs it offers come in a range of exterior colors, including some with exterior graphics. On the interior, you choose from six-floor plans. These RVs include little extras like a carbon monoxide and LP detector and a direct vent furnace.

Happier Camper

The thing that probably makes people happiest about these campers is their innate flexibility. Established in 2009, the company combines a retro fiberglass camper with an ultra-modern interior that uses Adaptiv cubes to let you design your own floor plan. You place the storage, cabinets, dinette table, kitchen sink, cooler/refrigerator, etc. wherever you like. You choose the configuration of every piece, so you can organize it as you like.

It does use a dry toilet which for some is a tough transition. It also provides greater headroom than most RVs – 7 feet 4 inches, so basketball players could easily travel in this one. You can tow it with nearly any vehicle, too, since its dry weight is a teeny, tiny 1,100 pounds. The perimeter wall storage lets you bring a lot along with you on your road trip and the heavy-duty D-ring tie-downs let you anchor the vehicle in place once you park.

Grand Design

Established in 2012, Winnebago bought out Grand Design in 2016. Its three founders, brothers Ron Fenech and Bill Fenech, and their colleague Don Clark worked for Keystone for many years, then started their company. From their prior experience, they determined that their company needed to improve upon existing customer service as well as crafting feature-rich luxury RVs with a multitude of amenities. It specializes in small toy haulers and fifth wheels that you can tow with a six-cylinder vehicle.

Dutchmen

For more than two decades, Dutchmen has manufactured high-quality toy haulers, fifth wheels, and travel trailers. Dutchmen offers innovative trailers for those entry-level RVers who want to buy a first RV. They feature big windows for great views, but small storage spaces. Most designs feature just one full-length closet.

Scamp

The first molded fiberglass Scamp trailers hit the road in the mid-1970s, and some are still on the road.
